- 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Food coloring optional, pastel shades
Frosting:
- Buttercream butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, milk, and food coloring as needed
Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch heart-shaped pans.
Prepare Batter: Whisk flour and baking powder. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one by one, then mix in vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until smooth.
